About ADHD in Adults

ADHD is a biologically based syndrome that impairs the daily life of an individual in affecting their academic & work performance, as well as their social relationships.

ADHD is initially manifested in childhood & often persists into adulthood.

ADHD diagnosis is made primarily through a comprehensive clinical assessment.

ADHD emerging clinical guidelines for adults identify use of medications as central to a comprehensive treatment plan.

Stimulant class of medication are consistently recommended as first line treatment for the majority of patients.

Dr. Fazekas prescribes the full spectrum of both stimulant & nonstimulant medications for ADHD treatment (Adderall XR, Vyvanse, Ritalin, Focalin, Dexedrine, clonidine, guanfacine, Strattera, etc.)

Some individuals may require additional medications, counseling/testing which can be addressed at any point in their treatment.

Health Insurance Coverage

Dr. Fazekas does not directly participate with any insurance company at this time. Payment is expected at time of services. Accepted forms of payment are checks, cash or PayPal. Patients are advised to contact their health insurance prior to their first appointment to determine eligibility for Out of Network coverage for clinical visits. Prescriptions for medications, however, will be covered as usual as per patient’s health insurance policy at all participating pharmacies.
